Meeting Insights Analyzer

Analyses meeting transcripts and recordings to uncover behavioural patterns, communication habits, and actionable feedback on how you lead and listen.

Entry verified April 21, 2026

The short answer

Transforms meeting transcripts into insights about your communication patterns — conflict avoidance, speaking ratios, filler words, question-asking versus statement-making, and active-listening indicators. Provides timestamped examples with what happened, why it matters, and how to improve.

When to use it

When you want feedback on facilitation style, want to know how often you interrupt or dominate, or need to prepare for a performance review with concrete examples. Also useful for coaching team members or tracking improvement over time by comparing patterns across multiple meeting folders.

Setup

  1. 1

Download transcripts (.txt, .md, .vtt, .srt, .docx) into a folder such as ~/meetings/.

  2. 2

Open Claude Code inside that folder so the skill can scan available files.

  3. 3

Ask in plain English: 'Analyse all meetings in this folder and tell me when I avoided conflict.'

  4. 4

For trend tracking, point at two folders and ask the skill to compare facilitation style between them.

Example

You: /meeting-insights standup-2026-04-20.txt
Claude: 3 decisions, 5 action items (3 owners assigned / 2 unassigned), 1 unresolved — 'did we agree on the pricing tier?'

Caveats

Transcript quality drives output quality. Garbled auto-transcripts → garbled insights.
