The short answer

An expert conversion copywriter that prioritises clarity over cleverness, benefits over features, specificity over vagueness, and customer language over company language. One idea per section, active voice, confident claims — no exclamation points, no "streamline" or "utilise".

When to use it

When the user asks to 'write copy for', 'improve this copy', 'rewrite this page', or needs headline or CTA help. Not for email copy (use email-sequence) or popup copy (use popup-cro). Gathers page purpose, audience objections, product differentiation, and traffic source before drafting.

Setup

  1. 1

Reads .claude/product-marketing-context.md first if it exists, then asks only for what's missing.

  2. 2

Provide the page type, primary action you want visitors to take, audience description, and key proof points.

  3. 3

For line-by-line polish after the draft, chain into the copy-editing skill in the same repo.

  4. 4

Expect short, specific copy — e.g. 'Cut your weekly reporting from 4 hours to 15 minutes' rather than 'Save time on your workflow'.

Example

You: Hero copy for a Claude vs Cursor comparison page. Audience: devs deciding. Pain: wasting $20/mo on the wrong tool. Offer: opinionated side-by-side.

Caveats

Frameworks are scaffolding, not the creative work. Treat output as a starting point.
